Control Center Overview
Purpose
The Control Center is the central configuration area of UNEEVO.
It allows authorized users to define the settings, reference data, rules and structures that support the operation of the different functional modules across the platform.
While operational modules are used to perform daily business activities, the Control Center determines how those activities are structured and how the platform behaves.
This article provides:
-
An overview of the Control Center structure
-
A navigation map of its main configuration areas
-
An explanation of how configurations affect operational modules
-
Guidance on where to start when preparing a UNEEVO functional area
-
Direct access to the articles related to each configuration area
Overview
UNEEVO is composed of operational modules that support activities such as managing people, sales, projects, resources, timesheets and billing.
Before those modules can be used effectively, some of their underlying structures and rules must be configured.
These configurations are maintained in the Control Center.

For example:
-
Sales pipelines configured in the Control Center are used when managing Opportunities.
-
Benefit Packages configured in the Control Center can be assigned to employee Contracts.
-
Project-related settings determine how Projects are created and managed.
-
Billing configurations support the preparation and processing of Billing records.
-
Notifications determine which platform events generate alerts or emails.
The Control Center should therefore not be understood as a collection of isolated settings. It is the configuration layer that connects and supports the entire UNEEVO platform.
Control Center Structure
The Control Center landing page organizes configurations into functional areas.
At a high level, these areas can be represented as follows:
Control Center

└── Additional module-specific configurations
The exact options available may depend on the modules enabled for the organization and on the permissions assigned to the user.
General and Module-Specific Configuration
Control Center configurations can generally be divided into two groups.
General Configuration
General configurations support the platform as a whole and may be used by several functional modules.
Typical examples include:
-
Company information
-
Users
-
Access profiles
-
Notifications
-
Email settings
-
Numbering structures
-
Fiscal years
-
Currencies
-
Countries
-
Shared classifications and reference values
These settings should normally be reviewed during the initial UNEEVO setup because other functional areas may depend on them.

Module-Specific Configuration
Module-specific configurations define the structures, options and rules used by a particular operational area.
For example:
Control Center – Sales Management
│
▼
Opportunity Types and Pipelines
│
▼

Control Center – People Management
│
▼
Benefit Packages and Salary Policies
│
▼
People – Contracts
Control Center – Billing
│
▼
Billing Rules and Workflow
│
▼
Operations Management – Billing
Module-specific configurations are normally maintained before users begin performing the corresponding operational processes.
How Configuration Flows Through UNEEVO
A configuration created in the Control Center becomes available in the relevant operational module.
The typical configuration flow is:
1. Define the configuration
│
▼
2. Activate or make it available
│
▼
3. Select or apply it in an operational record
│
▼
4. Use it throughout the business process
│
▼
5. Produce operational or financial results
For example:
Opportunity Pipeline
configured in Control Center
│
▼
Pipeline selected for an Opportunity
│
▼
Opportunity progresses through its stages
│
▼
Commercial activity can be monitored
Another example:
Benefit Package
configured in Control Center
│
▼
Benefit Package assigned to a Contract
│
▼
Employee benefits are managed
│
▼
Contract and cost information remain aligned
This relationship explains why changes in the Control Center can affect records and processes elsewhere in the platform.
Configuration Areas
The following table summarizes the main Control Center areas and the operational modules they support.
| Configuration Area | Main Purpose | Primarily Used By |
|---|---|---|
| General | Defines platform-wide structures, shared settings and access rules | All modules |
| People Management | Defines employment, contract, salary and benefit structures | People Management |
| Sales Management | Defines the commercial process and Opportunity classifications | Sales Management |
| Project Management | Defines the structures required to create and manage Projects | Project Management |
| Resource Management | Supports resource planning, allocation and availability | Resource Management |
| Timesheets | Defines time registration and approval rules | Timesheets |
| Billing | Defines the structures and rules used during billing preparation and validation | Billing |
| Other Functional Areas | Supports additional enabled modules and processes | Corresponding operational modules |
Some configurations may be shared by more than one module.
For example, Projects can interact with Resources, Timesheets and Billing. As a result, preparing Project Management may require settings from several Control Center areas.
Platform-Wide Configuration
Platform-wide configurations should normally be reviewed before configuring individual modules.
Company and Organizational Settings
These settings identify the organization and define shared organizational information used across UNEEVO.
They may influence:
-
Operational records
-
Documents
-
Notifications
-
Reporting
-
Financial processes
-
Module-specific configuration
Users, Profiles and Access
Users and access profiles determine who can access the platform and which actions they can perform.
User
│
▼
Assigned Profile
│
▼
Module and Feature Permissions
│
▼
Available Actions
A user may be able to access an operational module without having permission to maintain its configuration in the Control Center.
Access should therefore be reviewed separately for:
-
Operational activities
-
Configuration activities
-
Approval activities
-
Administrative activities
Notifications
Notifications define which events should generate platform alerts or email communications.
A notification can be associated with activities occurring in different modules, including:
-
Approvals
-
Allocations
-
Timesheets
-
Projects
-
Commercial activities
-
Billing processes
Notification settings should be reviewed together with the corresponding business process.
Numbering
Numbering configurations define how identifiers are generated for records and documents.
Depending on the enabled modules, numbering may support items such as:
-
People records
-
Projects
-
Opportunities
-
Billing records
-
Operational documents
Numbering should be prepared before operational records are created when the organization requires a specific identification structure.
Fiscal Years and Currencies
Fiscal and currency configurations support financial and operational processes across the platform.
They may be required for:
-
Sales estimations
-
Project values
-
Employee costs
-
Billing
-
Financial reporting
The organization’s base currency and relevant fiscal periods should be reviewed before configuring modules that use monetary values.
People Management Configuration
The People Management area contains the structures required to manage people, contracts, employment conditions, compensation and benefits.

Project and Resource Management Configuration
Project and Resource Management are closely connected.
Project configuration determines how Projects are structured, while Resource Management supports the assignment and planning of the people required to deliver them.
Project Configuration
│
▼
Project Creation
│
▼
Resource Allocation
│
▼
Time Registration
│
▼
Cost and Billing Processes
Configurations in these areas may support:
-
Project classifications
-
Project structures
-
Cost structures
-
Resource allocation
-
Availability
-
Approval processes
-
Timesheet registration
-
Billing preparation
Because of these dependencies, Project, Resource, Timesheet and Billing configurations should not be reviewed independently.
Timesheet Configuration
Timesheet configuration supports the registration, validation and approval of time.

Project Cost and Billing
Before users begin registering time, the organization should confirm that:
-
Relevant users and people exist
-
Contracts are active
-
Projects are available
-
Resource allocations are defined when required
-
Approval responsibilities are assigned
-
Timesheet-related notifications are configured
Billing Configuration
Billing configuration defines the structures and rules used to prepare, calculate and validate amounts to be billed.

▼
Financial Process
Billing configurations may determine:
-
Available billing classifications
-
Workflow statuses
-
Processing rules
-
Transaction generation conditions
-
Financial reference data
-
Approval and validation behavior
Billing should be reviewed together with Project Management and the organization’s financial processes.
Understanding Configuration Dependencies
Not every configuration can be maintained or used independently.
Some options depend on shared or previously created data.
For example:
Currency
│
├── Salary Policy
├── Opportunity
├── Project
└── Billing
Person
│
├── Contract
├── Resource Allocation
├── Timesheet
└── Approval Responsibility
Project
│
├── Resource Allocation
├── Timesheet Registration
├── Project Costs
├── Billing Plan
└── Billing
When an expected option is not available in an operational screen, users should verify whether the required configuration:
-
Has been created
-
Is active
-
Is valid for the relevant dates
-
Is available for the correct company or organizational scope
-
Is accessible to the user
-
Meets any required dependency

This diagram represents the conceptual organization of the Control Center. The actual options displayed depend on the organization’s configuration, enabled modules and user permissions.
Before Changing a Configuration
Changes made in the Control Center may affect operational records and business processes.
Before editing an existing configuration, consider:
-
Whether the configuration is already being used
-
Whether the change should affect existing records or only future records
-
Whether the configuration has validity dates
-
Whether the change affects more than one module
-
Whether users require new permissions
-
Whether notifications or approval processes must also be updated
-
Whether related records must be reviewed
Where possible, configuration changes should be tested before being introduced into the production environment.
