Sales Management in the UNEEVO Ecosystem

Purpose

This article explains how the Sales Management module interacts with the rest of the UNEEVO platform.

Rather than describing individual features, this article helps users understand where commercial information originates, how it evolves throughout the sales lifecycle, and which configurations and modules participate in each business process.

Understanding these relationships makes it easier to configure the platform correctly and understand the impact of changes across different functional areas.

Sales Management at a Glance

Sales Management is responsible for managing the complete commercial lifecycle, from the first customer interaction to the generation of commercial proposals and, optionally, recurring subscriptions.

It acts as the bridge between customer acquisition and project execution.

Once an Opportunity is won, responsibility typically moves from Sales Management to Project Management, where the delivery process begins.

Sales Management Dependencies

Sales Management does not operate in isolation.

Several platform configurations must already exist before users can perform commercial activities.

Depends On Why it is Required Configured In
Companies Commercial records belong to one or more companies. Control Center → System

How Sales Information Evolves

Commercial information is progressively enriched during the sales process.

Stage Information Added
Account Customer organisation
Contact Commercial contacts and decision makers
Opportunity Potential business, expected value and probability
Estimation Costs, effort, selling price and margins
Proposal Commercial offer presented to the customer
Subscription Recurring commercial agreement (optional)
Project Delivery execution after the sale

Each step builds upon the previous one instead of duplicating information.

Module Interactions

The Sales module exchanges information with several UNEEVO modules.

General Configuration

Provides platform-wide information used by Sales.

Examples:

  • Currencies

  • Notifications

  • Types

  • Tax Years

System

Provides organisational information.

Examples:

  • Companies

  • Users

  • Roles

  • Permissions

Assortment Planning

Provides the commercial catalogue.

Sales consumes:

  • Products

  • Services

  • Price Lists

  • Variants

These become available inside Estimations and Proposals.

Project Management

Once a Proposal has been accepted, a Project can be created.

Typical information transferred includes:

  • Customer

  • Commercial values

  • Deliverables

  • Scope

  • Planned effort

Sales ends.

Project delivery begins.

Resource Management

Although not directly linked to Sales, Estimations normally rely on:

  • Available services

  • Skills

  • Standard costs

which later become resource allocations.

Operations Management

Operations executes the work sold by Sales.

Examples:

  • Timesheets

  • Operational activities

  • Travel requests

These records eventually generate billable work.

Billing Management

Billing converts operational work into invoices.

Although Sales determines the commercial agreement, Billing controls:

  • Billings

  • Invoices

  • Financial documents

  • What needs to exist before I can use Sales?
