Global Setup Overview

Purpose

The Global Setup defines all foundational configuration areas that support the operation of every UNEEVO module.
It ensures consistency, security, and governance across the entire environment.

This overview explains what each configuration area does, why it matters, and how they connect to the rest of the platform.

1. General Parameters

General Parameters contain global definitions that are shared across UNEEVO modules.
These settings create uniformity in workflows, calculations, and data structures.

Main Sections

Section Description Key Examples
Currencies Defines currencies, ISO codes, and exchange rates used by your company. EUR, USD, BRL
Notifications Manages automated system alerts triggered by workflow events. Approver Reminder, Task Created
State Machine Contexts Defines lifecycle states used across modules (e.g., Worksheet → Submitted → Approved). Travel Requests, Billings, Allocations
Tax Years Defines the fiscal year structure used across modules for reporting and accounting. Calendar Year, Custom Fiscal Year
Types Central repository of reusable lists that standardize classification fields across modules. Work Calendars, Units of Measure, Locations

Why this matters:
These parameters guarantee that the same rules, values, and statuses behave consistently everywhere in UNEEVO — from Operations Management to Resource Planning and Sales.

2. System Configuration

System Configuration defines your company’s structure and controls who can access what.
Together, these settings govern security, visibility, and operational rules.

Main Sections

Section Description Key Purpose
Companies Creates and configures legal entities and operational settings (business hours, holidays, taxes, etc.). Establishes the legal and operating framework of the system.
Access Profiles Defines what each user role can see and do inside each module. Role-based access control
Users Creates user accounts and links them to People or Contracts. Authentication and system access
Security Configuration Defines the default administrator and global security behavior. Governance and platform-wide access defaults

💡 Why this matters:
Proper setup ensures that only authorized users can access specific modules, and always under the correct company context.
