Opportunity Sources define where sales opportunities originate.
By maintaining a standardized list of sources, organizations can identify which marketing channels, campaigns, or referral methods generate new business opportunities and support more accurate sales reporting and performance analysis.

This configuration area is typically managed by sales administrators or CRM administrators.
Overview
Opportunity Sources represent the origin of a sales opportunity.
Each source can be selected when creating or updating an Opportunity, allowing the organization to track how potential customers entered the sales pipeline.
Using standardized Opportunity Sources improves data quality and enables more reliable analysis of lead generation activities.
Process Overview
Managing Opportunity Sources typically consists of the following steps:
- Create a new Opportunity Source.
- Define its name and organizational scope.
- Save the configuration.
- Select the source when creating Opportunities.
Opportunity Source Landing Page
The landing page displays all configured Opportunity Sources available in the system.
Each record represents a source that can be associated with sales opportunities.

- Create a new Opportunity Source

- Refresh the list

Creating an Opportunity Source
Click Add Opportunity Source.

Complete the required information.

Click Save to create the Opportunity Source or Save and New to immediately create another one.

- Use clear and descriptive source names.
- Create standardized values to avoid duplicate or similar sources.
- Use Tenant-Wide scope when the same sources apply across the organization.
- Review the list periodically to remove obsolete or unused sources.
- Align Opportunity Sources with the organization's marketing and sales channels.

Opportunity Sources should represent the initial channel through which a prospect entered the sales process, such as a website, marketing campaign, referral, partner, or existing customer. Maintaining a consistent list improves reporting accuracy and helps measure the effectiveness of lead generation initiatives.
