Resource Management – Parametrization Overview

Purpose

The Resource Management module in UNEEVO enables organizations to plan, allocate, and monitor resource utilization effectively.
The parametrization of this module ensures that allocation workflows, sourcing rules, and system integrations function consistently across the platform.

This configuration is divided into two main areas:

  1. Allocations – controls how resources are assigned, approved, and synchronized with timesheets.

  2. Sourcing – determines how resource availability and allocation statuses are calculated.

Access Path

Main Menu → Resource Management

Subsections:

  • Allocations → Approvers

  • Allocations → Integrations

  • Sourcing

1. Allocations

The Allocations setup defines who can approve resource assignments and how these assignments interact with the time-tracking system.

A. Approvers Configuration

Purpose:
Defines which users are responsible for approving resource allocations based on cost centers, projects, or user profiles.

Access Path:

Resource Management → Allocations → Approvers

Configuration Fields:

Field Description
Users Defines the list of approvers responsible for specific allocations.
Cost Centers Allows restriction of approval rules to a specific cost center or applies them globally.
Projects Associates approval rules with individual projects.
Self-Management Enables users to manage their own allocation approvals.

Example:
A project manager (e.g. Yanick Doe) is assigned as an approver for all allocations in the Lake Como House Project and Employee Vacations cost center.

B. Integrations Configuration

Purpose:
Defines which allocation status triggers the creation of timesheets.
This parameter ensures automatic synchronization between resource planning and time-tracking.

Access Path

Resource Management → Allocations → Integrations

Configuration Fields:

Field Description
Status to Create Timesheets Select the allocation status that triggers timesheet creation. These statuses are defined in the State Machine Contexts configuration within the Control Center.

Available Options: (Derived from State Machine Contexts → Allocations)

  • Worksheet

  • Submitted

  • Approved

  • Rejected

Example:
If Approved is selected, timesheets will automatically be created when an allocation reaches the Approved status.

Dependency Note:
The statuses displayed in this configuration are not managed locally, but rather controlled through:

Control Center → General → State Machine Contexts → Allocations

Here, administrators can define and visualize the workflow diagram of allocation status transitions (e.g., Worksheet → Submitted → Approved → Rejected).

2. Sourcing

Purpose:
Defines how the system calculates resource availability and which allocation statuses can be used when sourcing resources for projects.

Access Path

Resource Management → Sourcing

Configuration Fields:

Field Description
Calculate Availability Based On Determines which allocation status counts toward resource availability (e.g., Hard Allocation).
Possible Allocation Statuses Defines which statuses users can assign when sourcing resources.

Available Status Options:

  • Hard Allocation

  • Soft Allocation

  • Draft

  • Rejected

Example:
Choosing Hard Allocation for both parameters ensures that availability calculations and sourcing activities reflect only confirmed allocations.

Summary

The Resource Management Parametrization ensures consistency between project staffing, approval workflows, and availability tracking.

Section Key Function
Approvers Assign who approves allocations.
Integrations Define which status triggers timesheet creation (based on State Machine Contexts).
Sourcing Set how availability and allocation statuses are managed.

This setup guarantees smooth coordination between Resource Planning, Project Execution, and Time Management modules.
