The Work Item Status configuration defines the possible states that a work item (task, deliverable, or activity) can assume during its execution.
These statuses ensure clear tracking of progress, blockers, and completion across project teams.

Each record represents one status that users can assign to work items in daily project operations.

1. Purpose of Work Item Statuses

Work item statuses support effective task and project management by enabling:

  • Clear visibility of task progression

2. Work Item Status List

This list displays all configured statuses available for work items.

Typical columns:

  • Name – Status label
  • Description – Additional operational context
  • Company – Defines if the status is global or company-specific

Available actions:

  • Add a new work item status
  • Edit or delete existing statuses
  • Sort and filter by column
  • Export the list for reporting or auditing

3. Adding a Work Item Status

Click Add Work Item Status to open the entry form.

3.1 Required Fields

Field Description
Name The name of the status as displayed in Work Items.

3.2 Optional Fields

Field Description
Company Defines whether the status applies globally (Tenant-Wide) or at company level.
