General Parameters – Settings for UNEEVO Modules
Purpose
The General Parameters area defines global settings that apply across all UNEEVO modules — ensuring consistent behavior in currencies, workflows, notifications, tax logic, and value lists.
These settings should be configured before any operational data (such as projects, people, or contracts) is created.
Accessing the General Configuration
To access and configure these settings:
-
Click Control Center (top-right corner).
-
In the left-side menu, select General.
-
The following configuration options will be available:
-
Currencies
-
Notifications
-
State Machine Contexts
-
Tax Years
-
Types
-
Currencies

| Entity | Countries where the currency is used. | USA, Ecuador |
| Alphabetic / Numeric Code | ISO 4217 standard codes. | USD / 840 |

💡 Tip: Always define your base operating currency before activating Payroll or Cost-related components.
Notifications
Defines how users receive system alerts and reminders related to approvals, changes, or workflow events.
Configuration Steps
-
Open Notifications under the General section.
-
Choose between Received (list of active notifications) and Configuration (notification rules).

-
Activate or deactivate available notification types.
| Example Notifications | Description |
|---|---|
| Approver Reminder | Reminds users when they have pending approvals. |
| Auditor Reminder | Alerts auditors about items requiring validation. |
| State Changed | Triggers when a document or process status changes. |
💡Each module (Projects, People, Sales, etc.) can generate notifications based on configured workflows.
State Machine Contexts
Defines how entities transition between statuses — for example, how an invoice moves from Draft to Approved or Closed.
This feature standardizes workflow behavior across all modules.

| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Diagram | Visual representation of allowed status transitions. |
| States | Lists all possible statuses (e.g., Draft, Approved, Closed). |
| Transitions | Defines actions that move a record from one state to another (e.g., Submit, Approve, Cancel). |
💡State Machine Contexts ensure consistent process control for modules such as Allocations, Billings, Invoices, Timesheets, and Proposals.
Tax Years
Defines fiscal or operational periods used across UNEEVO’s finance-related components like Payroll, Compensation or Project modules.

| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Identifies the fiscal period. | 2025 |
| Company | Defines if the year is tenant-wide or specific to one entity. | Tenant-Wide |
| Start / End Date | Period covered by the fiscal year. | 01/01/2025 – 12/31/2025 |
| Status | Current state (Created, Active, Closed). | Created |
💡Make sure Tax Years are defined before starting payroll or cost components
Types
Defines reusable lists and value categories used across modules.
These types ensure consistency when selecting classifications such as payment methods, work calendars, or location categories.
| Category | Example Values | Usage Area |
|---|---|---|
| Locations | Country, Region, Office | Entities & Companies, Projects |
| Payment | Monthly, Bi-weekly | Payroll, Compensation |
| Units of Measure | Hours, Days | Projects, Timesheets |
| Work Calendars | Standard, Shift | People Management, Contracts |

| Business Info | Department, Job Function | Contracts, Career |
| Others | Custom classifications | All modules |
💡 Adding consistent “Types” ensures dropdowns and validations remain standardized across entities.

Define Currencies and Tax Years before creating companies or contracts.
-
Keep only relevant notification types active to avoid system noise.
