Control Center – Sales Management – Relationship Health Types

5 min. readlast update: 07.24.2026

Purpose

The Relationship Health Types configuration allows Sales administrators to define the classifications used to assess the current quality, stability, and strength of the commercial relationship with an Account.

These values become available in the Relationship Health Type field of the Account’s Segmentation tab, helping Sales teams identify healthy relationships, developing Accounts, and situations requiring attention.

Consistent Relationship Health Types support Account prioritization, relationship monitoring, reporting, and commercial decision-making.

Access Path

Control Center → Sales Management → Account → Relationship Health Types

Overview

A Relationship Health Type answers the following question:

💡What is the current health of the commercial relationship with this Account?

Depending on the organization’s relationship-management model, examples may include:

  • Strong
  • Stable
  • Developing
  • At Risk
  • Weak
  • Inactive

Relationship Health should reflect the current quality of the business relationship rather than the Account’s strategic importance, lifecycle stage, or sales potential.

Configuration Measures
Relationship Health Type Quality and stability of the current commercial relationship
Account Tier Strategic importance or commercial value of the Account
Account Stage Position of the Account within the customer lifecycle
Upsell Potential Potential to increase the value or scope of services sold

Before changing an existing value, administrators should verify whether it is already assigned to Account Records. Renaming it may change how the health of existing Account relationships is displayed and interpreted.

Where the Configuration Is Used

Relationship Health Types are used in:

Sales Management → Accounts → Open an Account → Segmentation → Relationship Health Type

When classifying or reviewing an Account, users can select one of the values configured for the applicable company scope.

Control Center Operational Feature
Relationship Health Type – Name Segmentation – Relationship Health Type
Relationship Health Type – Company Determines the organizational scope in which the value is available

The selected value provides Sales users with a high-level assessment of the relationship and can be considered alongside Account Tier, Account Stage, Market Position, and commercial growth indicators.

Business Examples

Relationship Health Type Possible Use
Strong The relationship is trusted, active, and supported by regular positive engagement.
Stable The relationship is consistent and satisfactory, with no significant concerns.
Developing The relationship is still being established and requires continued engagement.
At Risk The relationship shows warning signs and may require corrective or retention actions.
Weak Engagement is limited, satisfaction may be low, or the relationship lacks stability.
Inactive There is currently little or no active engagement with the Account.

These examples are illustrative. The final classifications should reflect the organization’s Account-management model and terminology.

Configuration Recommendations

  • Define a clear and limited relationship-health scale.

  • Use names that Sales users can interpret consistently.

  • Ensure that each level has a distinct business meaning.

  • Consider documenting internal criteria for assigning each value.

  • Avoid subjective or ambiguous classifications that different users may interpret differently.

  • Do not use Relationship Health Type to represent lifecycle progress; use Account Stage instead.

  • Do not use it to represent strategic value; use Account Tier.

  • Do not use it to represent future sales potential; use Upsell Potential or Cross Sell.

  • Confirm the correct company scope before saving.

  • Review the classifications with Sales and Account-management stakeholders before operational use.

Important Notes

  • Relationship Health Types should be configured before users begin segmenting Accounts.

  • The selected value represents the current assessment of the relationship and may need to be reviewed periodically.

  • UNEEVO provides the classification values, but the organization should define the business criteria for applying them consistently.

  • If no values are configured for the applicable scope, users may have no options available in the corresponding Account field.

  • Changes to existing values may affect Account Records where they are already assigned.

  • Before deleting a value, verify whether it is currently in use.

  • Deleting a configuration value may not remove it from historical records.

  • Access depends on the user’s Control Center permissions and company scope.
